Senior/Intermediate/Junior Mechanical Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION
Our company provides a combination of engineering consulting and services to the oil and gas industry based out of Calgary, AB.
We are currently seeking a Senior/Intermediate/Junior Mechanical Engineer.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide assistance to the Project Manager/Lead Engineer, as required, in the areas of proposal/schedule/estimate development, effort hour planning, progress reporting, monitors material estimates and quantities etc.

Interpreting and assisting with codes (ASME, ANSI, API, CEC, ISA)

Must be able to communicate detailed design issues effectively with suppliers, clients, and other engineering disciplines

Perform load/balance calculations, to review specification and packages, and to respond to client requests

Reviewing vendor drawings and documents for compliance with requirements

Provide leadership through client development, project management, team leadership and project control consistent with experience and your qualifications

Prepare estimates and schedules of work from inception to completion of projects

Define project execution plans, scopes of work, work packages, stage gate criteria, and other project execution components

Become well knowledgeable in all areas of responsibilities of the Mechanical Department

Development and selection of the mechanical design of equipment

Prepare, or assist in the preparation, of the cost estimates and schedules for mechanical accounts for equipment for bids and proposal work

Preparation of the technical sections of inquiries and purchase orders, review bids and make recommendations leading to the selection of vendors

Work on internal processes consistent with corporate standards and policies, and also a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Issue reports, drawings and other documents as directed/required
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience in the EPC industry supporting oil, gas and petrochemical processing facilities

Should be registered or eligible to be registered with APEGA as a Professional Engineer

Possess a good working knowledge of industry standard
