Junior Electrical Engineer

Our company provides a combination of engineering consulting and services to the oil and gas industry based out of Calgary, AB.

We are currently seeking a Junior Process Engineer

Develop design criteria and standardized specifications
Prepare written technical reports and scope of work documents
Design and review engineering work packages, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, data sheets and P&ID mark-ups
Develop engineering deliverables, such as electrical load lists, single line diagrams, hazardous area classification drawings/studies, engineering reports/design basis
Prepare various design calculations used in the discipline
Review electrical equipment material requisitions, bid clarifications, and purchase orders
Specify instrumentation and control hardware ensuring functionality, material selection, and safety
Review and check calculations, design models and drawings and design documents prepared by others in the group and by material suppliers, as assigned
Work with designers in other disciplines in the overall assignment to coordinate designs
Work independently and take initiative to research information to complete assignments within the budgeted time

A recognized degree in Electrical engineering from an accredited university, and an Engineering in Training (EIT) designation status with APEGA.
Minimum 1 – 3 years experience to the degree necessary to perform the responsibilities outlined above.

The job is performed in an office environment and site travel may be required, depending on project.
