Our company provides a combination of engineering consulting and services to the oil and gas industry based out of Calgary, AB
We are currently seeking a
Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer with expertise in Slurry Pumps.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Review client specification, prepare equipment datasheets and request for quotation package.
- Perform technical bid evaluation, review design drawings and calculations of the recommended vendor and ensure related codes, standards and client specifications are followed.
- Review quality control plan and inspection documents.
- Interpret and apply relevant standards (API, ANSI, HI, PIP)
- Manage interface with other disciplines such as process, piping design, stress, civil and I&C.
- Communicate detailed design issues effectively with suppliers, clients and other engineering disciplines.
- Resolve site design issue during construction and start-up.
- Prepare estimates and schedules of work from inception to completion of projects.
- Become well knowledgeable in all areas of responsibilities of the Mechanical Department.
- Prepare, or assist in the preparation of the cost estimates and schedules for bids and proposal work.
- Work on internal processes consistent with corporate standards and policies, and also a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Issue reports, drawings and other documents as directed/required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years experience in the EPC industry supporting oil, gas and petrochemical processing facilities.
- Experience in Slurry Pump and API 610 pumps is an asset
- Registered with APEGA as a Professional Engineer.
- Possess a good working knowledge of industry standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Note: Job is performed in an office environment and site travel may be required, depending on project.
